Max Homa outduels Tony Finau for his second PGA Tour win at the 2021 Genesis Invitational
Tony Finau played amazing on Sunday at the Genesis Invitational. He shot a cool 6-under par (64) in regulation, forcing a two hole playoff against Max Homa. But, that's when the wheels fell off.
Max Homa saved himself on the first playoff hole with a ridiculous chip that you can see here. It was all but over at that point for Max, until Finau missed his 6 foot putt to win, which forced a second playoff hole that you can watch here.
Finau will break through again eventually, but until then we have ridiculous stats like this one to look at:
As for the champ, Max Homa, the young LA native gave this tearjerker of an interview after his second victory on tour. Really cool moment for a guy that everybody loves for his epic roasts on twitter. Congrats to Max on a super gutty performance Sunday in what he called his Masters.
